The SCU Archives and Special Collections seeks people willing to volunteer in the following tasks:
Photo Identification Project
Description: There are several boxes of photos from the 1970's, 1980's and 1990's with no identifying information as to the people photographed, the event photographed, or the significance of the event or person.
Task : Volunteer would organize, list information, and add to the records of the archives.
Coordinating a "Special Friends" of Southwestern
Description: There is a need for a special friends group devoted to preserving and sharing the Pentecostal Heritage of Southwestern
Task: Coordinate fundraising events to raise money to purchase special archival storage and preservation materials, eventually hire a part time archivist, purchase archival quality display cabinets.
Digital Project
Description: Scanning various images, documents, including yearbooks and artifacts, for a digital record of the history of the school.
Task: as above
Biographical Collection Project
Description: The collection of short, one page biographical sheets on alums, staff, faculty, and administration
Task: Contacting alums and past employees, searching newspapers and other possible sources for obituaries, etc.
